  • To discuss whether Speech and Language Therapy would benefit your child, get in touch using our contact form or email us on soundsandsigns.slt@gmail.com. We offer free 15 minute telephone consultations to discuss the support and advice we can offer.

  • Yes, we will contact your child’s NHS Speech and Language Therapist with a view to work together with them to provide consistent support.

    If your child has a recent SLT assessment report, we are able to work from their report which means an assessment with us is not required.

  • At Sounds and Signs SLT, we generally work with children between 2-11 years old. We don’t have specific age limits, so we advise you to contact us to discuss your specific needs to explore whether we are the right service for you. If we are unable to support you, we will always signpost you to alternative and appropriate services.

  • We can be flexible with the location of appointments. These can be offered in the family home and education settings. We have a home-based clinic space available should this be preferred, however we find sessions are successful in a familiar and comforting environment and supports carry over into the child’s day to day life.

  • At Sounds and Signs SLT, the length of sessions can vary depending on the goals of the session and the needs of the child.

    Assessments typically last 60 minutes, and therapy sessions can vary depending on the goal, these are priced 45-60 minutes.

    We encourage movement breaks to support children who may find paying attention difficult.
